Khalid is a Christchurch orthopaedic surgeon working in private practice and in the public hospital system. His specialist areas are shoulder and upper limb surgery and sports injuries.

Khalid graduated with a medical degree from the University of Otago and trained in orthopaedic surgery in New Zealand. His private practice is at Elmwood Orthopaedics, and he is a consultant at Christchurch and Burwood hospitals. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Otago Christchurch School of Medicine.
